Born on 4th June 1977 at Jos, Plateau State Nigeria. Hon Bagos, a renowned Philanthropist, Politician, Humanitarian and Youth activist, has championed and convened a couple of movements for the sake of humanity, among which are the Plateau Youth G17 Peace and Progressive Forum. G17 aims at giving citizens a voice on issues that touch on their livelihood, good governance, security and draws active participation from each of the 17 local government areas of the state, bringing youths together to promote youth inclusion in governance, youth participation and the protection of the heritage of the state. 

He also founded the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation – A humanitarian and philanthropic Non Governmental Organization, that has carried out community development services to different communities in and around the State. 

Dachung Musa Bagos was, until his election to the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, the coordinator of Foundation for Transparency and Accountability, a non-governmental organization based in Abuja and saddled with the responsibility of public awareness on the fight against corruption. It holds nation wide training for public, private and government officials in areas of preventing corruption, promoting transparency and due diligence in the work place. The NGO partners with other civil society groups and anti-graft agencies in Nigeria to broaden enlightenment against corruption among many other projects. 

Bagos is a student of criminology, a discipline that has enriched and shaped his dedication to the country’s fight against corruption, a humanist whose life work has impacted many within the very short time span God has allowed in his sojourn on earth. He is a committed church elder with the Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN), Regional Church Council (RCC) Gigiring, Jos South, Plateau State. Dachung Musa Bagos is married to his lovely wife, Lydia Dachung Bagos and they are blessed with 5 beautiful children. 

He is currently the Member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Nigeria.

Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation

The Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation donated numerous Boreholes to help tackle the issue water scarcity in the communities. Using the Foundation, he organized several free medical outreaches in different communities, where free medical examinations and free treatments were rendered to those communities. Over 1000 free Malaria Treated nets were shared among communities. With a Free Malaria Treatment center in Vom, the Foundation holds a monthly awareness campaign against Malaria with free treatments rendered. The Foundation has given Scholarships to students of different academic levels from Primary, Secondary and Tertiary.  Over 5000 exercise books have been shared to different schools.
